In a zoo the dangerous animals are caged up, and the children can only pet the nice ones. In a garden they don’t allow big game or hunters to roam around or any dangerous animals or plants, at least not knowingly. For your mental health it is important for you to do likewise.
An uncultivated mind will be like an uncultivated field. There might be something to harvest from it that is of value but for the most part it will not yield a desired increase and it will bring forth much noxious weed and inferior fruit.
