    The Christian walk and lifestyle is of much value because of what it does for us. Following Christ gives us a sound, solid, stable, peaceful, unconfused life, and much more. The Bible stories and teachings claim of an experience that when attained, causes the greatness of this life to lose their value. Question: What particular way has this reality being fulfilled in your life?

    John  17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

    Hebrews  12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
     12:16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
     12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

    Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts [is] better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

    The above discussion was the focus of our Friday Live Morning Talk program 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday on http://www.revivereform.org/radio

    One of the things that I appreciate about the Christian life is that when we follow Jesus' example & commit ourselves to living the experience & admonitions in the the Bible, we become noble, refined human beings.  Regardless of how humble or poor one's beginnings may be, when we follow Christ, we have the bearing respectable, honorable people and can stand before anyone.

    The religion of Jesus Christ is a system of the true heavenly politeness and leads to a practical exhibition of habitual tenderness of feeling, kindness of deportment. He who possesses godliness will also add this grace, taking a step higher on the ladder. The higher he mounts the ladder, the more of the grace of God is revealed in his life, his sentiments, his principles. He is learning, ever learning the terms of his acceptance with God, and the only way to obtain an inheritance in the heavens is to become like Christ in character. The whole scheme of mercy is to soften down what is harsh in temper, and refine whatever is rugged in the deportment. The internal change reveals itself in the external actions. The graces of the Spirit of God work with hidden power in the transformation of character. The religion of Christ never will reveal a sour, coarse, and uncourteous action. Courtesy is a Bible virtue. The virtue of this grace of brotherly kindness characterized the life of Christ. Never was such courtesy exhibited upon the earth as Christ revealed, and we cannot overestimate its value.... { OHC 72.3}

    Amen to that Seraphim, "become noble, refined human beings", "The whole scheme of mercy is to soften down what is harsh in temper", and "courtesy is a Bible virtue". Real tangible benefits from following Christ.

    The way in which this reality has been fulfilled in  my life is, I know my purpose in this world! As a child I questioned, the reason for our existence. Why did God create us, why so much sadness, death and destruction, most of all, are we put here to live and die? Now that I am studying, and learning more about the bible and the people of the past in the stories. I know that we are here as witnesses for the unfallen  world! And I am no longer confused about life because of God promise of eternal life!, a new city, Hebs 11:16, Rev 21:2, a new world and Jesus second coming. Matt 24:31, All the angles of heaven will come with Jesus... Matt 25:31 When the son of man comes in His glory... john 14:3 "if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again" I have the hope of a new life and that this life is just temporary. Because of Jesus's teachings and lessons in the Bible I know how live in peace. GOD's Laws has kept me on the straight and narrow, Exodus 20:1-17 And God spake all these words saying...
