Psalm 2:1-3 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, "let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us."

Like the people of Babel who plotted against the Lord to build a tower to protect themselves against any future floods, likewise those who plot against God will be confounded. Those who unite against God to free themselves from His rules, are doing a vain thing. Our father has set limits on how far groups of people can go in rebellion. He has given us nature to testify to us of His power and the scientist has said that creation is not God's handy work, but the work of chance. Many are joining together to plan against God, but will continue to get the results of their flawed concepts. There are many plans been worked out in secret to take away freedom from God's people, but he who digs a pit for others, will fall into it.

"In the revelation of His righteous judgments, God will break up all these associations; and when the judgment shall sit and the books be opened, there will be revealed the un-Christlikeness of the whole confederacy. Those who choose to unite with these secret societies are paying homage to idols as senseless and as powerless to bless and save the soul as are the gods of the Hindus." {2SM 131.2}
